Fabric is a personal location-based journal that catalogs your experiences and interactions.
It takes advantage of your iPhone’s location features, accelerometer, and step counter to understand movement. It identifies visits to publicly listed places (provided by Foursquare) or private places you add.
Fabric allows you to tag your contacts and followers to keep track of your interactions. You can also add friends to tag them automatically when you’re together.
Fabric augments your photos with the real-world places and people associated with them.
It then uses all this context to create interesting aggregate visualizations of your experiences that include, for instance, the cities or restaurants you’ve been to.
Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Fabric tries hard to optimize its battery consumption by turning off GPS use when you arent moving.
